The Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale – Fall Edition returns for a fourth year during Modernism Week Fall Preview, October 20-22, 2017. With a record 45 premier national and international decorative and fine arts dealers showcasing their wares, the toughest part is knowing where to start! Luckily for our modernists, here’s a quick guide to everything you need to know about the popular event.

Friday (Preview Party): 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Preview Party

The Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale Preview Party will be held Friday evening, October 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and offers attendees a cocktail reception, live music and an exclusive sneak peek (and the chance to be the first to shop) at the Modernism Show & Sale before it opens to the public. Tickets for the festive reception are $60 online (purchase here) or $75 at the door (all Friday night tickets include return entry to the show all weekend).   

What’s New?

Atomic Ranch editor Sarah Jane Stone will moderate a lecture entitled “Restoring or Renovating Your Midcentury Modern Home” on Sunday, October 22 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Steven Shields of Shields Residential will discuss the common problems midcentury homeowners experience transforming and maintaining their modernist design and architecture. This lecture includes free admission to the Modernism Show & Sale. Following the lecture, participants will take a tour of a successfully renovated local midcentury home.

Hennessey + Ingalls will be hosting a book signing for the architecture, landscape and interior design firm of Tichenor & Thorp on Saturday, October 21 at 2 PM inside their booth.

Making its first appearance at the show this year is Sideshow Interiors, a dealer from England that specializes in an eclectic mix of vintage furniture, lighting, and objects.
